Artist Statement
Through my artwork I share my passion for painting, an art form that allows me to escape reality and explore a personal space of happiness and safety. It is within this space that I express my experiences, feelings, and dreams. One of the most rewarding aspects of my work is witnessing the unique connection people form with my paintings. I truly value hearing the diverse interpretations each person brings, as it highlights how individual life experiences and emotions can imbue a piece with different meanings. I believe that creativity stems from the physical and mental engagement an artist undertakes during the artistic process. My ongoing quest is to cultivate inspiration and beauty in my life, sharing it through my paintings. I hope to inspire new generations and foster a deep emotional connection through art, evoking a range of feelings in those who engage with it.
All About Me
I am a surrealist and expressionist painter, and my compositions are deeply personal and emotional. Born in Mount Vernon, WA, I moved to Mexico at the age of three with my mother. I grew up immersed in the rich traditions, history, and folklore of her homeland, and I began painting when I was nine years old. Painting has always been a cherished escape for me, a way to find a happy and safe place in my mind where I can express my experiences, feelings, and dreams. I particularly enjoy witnessing the special connection people form with my art and hearing their individual interpretations of each piece. It's truly incredible to see how everyone's unique life experiences and emotions at a given moment can bring a different meaning to my paintings.
